Trey Manhein

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and having a background in commercial finance and corporate law (previously representing numerous banking institutions, energy-sector companies, manufacturers and developers), for over a decade Mr. Manhein has served as chief legal counsel to LEC. Mr. Manhein holds degrees from Louisiana State University and Mississippi College, and while in law school was honored with four American Jurisprudence Awards (among other honors), the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence, and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Additionally, since 2009 Mr. Manhein has served as an adjunct professor of law at Mississippi College School of Law, where he teaches a variety of subjects in the areas of corporate and commercial law (including Banking Law, Sales and Leasing, Secured Transactions and Commercial Paper), and was recently honored as the Adjunct Professor of theYear for the 2016-2017 term.
